WALKWAY FOR SJK(C) SHAN TAO STUDENTS

Hiew and Goh inspecting the work site

by: Hiew King Cheu

The many students of SJK(C) Shan Tao living at the nearby Kepayan Ridge low cost flats find it difficult to walk through the wet and rough ground, having to cross a big drain and climbing a steep slope to get to the school. At the moment, there is no bridge over the drain except a piece of old wooden door is used for crossing the drain by the students.  It is very dangerous for the students.

The MCA Luyang Assemblyman Hiew King Cheu was informed of this situation by the school principal Mr. Goh Teck Seng. Due to the necessity, he will utilize his assemblyman allocation to construct a concrete walkway connecting the LPPB flats to the school. The work will include a concrete walkway, concrete steps for the slope, and a concrete bridge to cross the big drain. The work will commence immediately and he hopes to complete in 3 weeks.
