JEFFREY GROUP FEEL LOST WITHOUT ZAID

PARTI Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) vice-president Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan today admitted feeling 'lost'following former PKR supreme council member Datuk Zaid Ibrahim’s exit from the party.

However, he shrugged off a suggestion by the press that he would be following Zaid’s footsteps, saying he was still with the party.

"I am on leave until the end of the year. I still have time to look at the situation - to think, evaluate and do some soul-searching," he told reporters, here, today.

Jeffrey had openly backed Zaid in his bid for the number two post in the PKR hierarchy.

"We believe he’s a man of principles. He supports our aspirations, to have our (East Malaysians') rights restored and respected," he said.

Jeffrey said: "We want to have leaders at the party apex who understand us here in Sabah.

"Now that he has quit, we feel lost actually. We do not know of or hear assurance from (other PKR) leaders that they respect Sabah and Sarawak’s rights."
